Wow, it feels like we just had a new Darynda Jones release and now it's time for another! Readers, all I can say is that I hope the next book comes out just as quickly 'cause I'm dying to know what happens next for Charley and Reyes!
After helping free Reyes and clear his name, Charley is a bit surprised to find he's taken up residence just down the hall! But Reyes as a neighbor is the least of the reaper's worries when her apartment begins to fill with dead blonde girls. Over twenty of them when they finally all arrive. Charley thinks they must have a serial killer on their hands, but none of the dead are talking and so far there isn't any real evidence. To further complicate things, Uncle Bob's captain has his eye on Charley and is intent on discovering the secret behind her odd knack for solving so many of the department's cases.
Fifth Grave Past the Light is totally awesomely fun. In fact, as much as I've been enjoying this series, I think I might have to say that this is my favorite installment so far!
It was nice to see some of the characters beginning to get a little more action, Swopes in particular. His discoveries about Charley are intriguing and sure to play into future books even more heavily. I'm also curious about Duff and Mr. Chung. I've been wondering when we'd find out more about Mr. Chung and I think it might be coming soon (I hope).
And the ending is killer. I won't give it away but I can't wait to find out what happens next.
Rating: 5/5

I've never seen a ghost but I know a few people who have.
This book was fantastic as well as your review. Readers will LOVE it!! Thanks so much for this chance to win a signed copy of Fifth Grave. I have never seen a ghost BUT I have seen an angel. She was my dog Shannon who passed away when I was roughly 5 or 6. I won't replay the whole thing again but on the last blog I did tell all. :)
Personally, I have never seen a ghost but I have family members who swear my grandfather haunted my grandparent’s house for a length of time after his passing. I cannot wait for Fifth Grave to be released on Tuesday so I can discuss it with all my fellow Reyes addicts. :p
I think the house that I lived in when I was a child was haunted because every night when we would lay down for bed me and my sister would hear running up on the third floor which was weird because we only used that space for storage. What else was weird was in the summer or when ever it was hot you would think that the third floor would be super hot because heat rises well not in this house it would always be cold like we had AC up there which we didn’t and when ever we would play up there it always seemed like someone was watching you like you were never alone and when ever you were up there you always had the feeling to run or get down from there as fast as you could it was a little creepy. Me and my sister still talk about it to this day I don’t fear ghost or the unknown. It almost gives me a feeling like there is something beyond death and that you should not be afraid and that if a ghost is there it’s for a reason and you should never be scared! With that being said I sooooo can’t wait for this book I’m sending my boys to their grandparents so MAMA can read and not have to do anything else. OH CHARLEY AND REYES HOW I HAVE MISSED YOU SO GALD YOUR BACK!!!!!!!
I've seen my dogs seeing ghosts. At least, that's the least scary explanation I can come up with. I hope it wasn't a spider.
Great review!

No, I've never seen a ghost. But I've heard from a few different people about their ghost sightings.. :)
Thanks for your review, I am bursting at the seems to get my hands on this book! I cannot wait to read it. As for ghosts, I have never actually seen one but I won't rule out that they do exist. :-)
So many cool giveaways!
I love this series. You are missing out on something Wicked Awesome if you have not read it. One word REYES.... YUM
i <3 this series and Darynda is awesome person.
I've never seen a ghost, but I've had some scary experiences. However, my best friend growing up had me convinced that the Nursing Home by my bus stop was haunted, and I never felt comfortable waiting there, especially at night! Of course, it's never a good idea to wait for a bus in NY at night, if you can help it.
I haven;t seen a ghost but I was pinched by one ;)
Thanks for the awesome giveaway, Darynda is amazing and I love this series. I've never "seen" a ghost but I have definitely felt the presence of ghosts before. I'm a true believer in things existing that we can't see and I love the paranormal. Can't say it doesn't scare and creep me out from time to time, but I do love reading about it :)
GREAT review!
