I'm keeping it short and sweet today. I've just jumped into today's pre-pub title and I'm anxious to get back to it.
She’s as tough as anything haunting Chicago’s streets. But to deal with an inhuman power that won’t stay buried, this FBI agent needs help that comes at an immortal price…
Jackie Rutledge has seen her share of supernatural killers. But her latest murder case is what recurring nightmares are made of. Brutally exsanguinated human victims, vanishing-into-the-ether evidence, and a city on the edge of panic mean that she and her psychic partner, Laurel, are going to need more than just backup …
So Jackie is fine with any help rugged P.I. Nick Anderson can give—even if that includes the impish ghost and sexy vampire who make up his team. But Nick is hiding secrets of his own. And Jackie’s investigation has plunged them both into a vengeful game reaching back centuries—and up against a malevolent force hungry for more than just victory…
Deadworld has blurbs from Lilith Saintcrow, Mark Henry, and Kat Richardson, all authors I've read and enjoyed, so I was super jazzed to get my hands on Duncan's book early. I'll keep you posted and have an official review for BB soon. So far, I can say that the tiny bit I've been able to read between cleaning for dinner company and taking the dog to the vet is super intriguing.
So mark your calendars, new urban fantasy (or, as Duncan refers to it, paranormal thriller) series debut Deadworld is officially hitting shelves on April 5, and number 2 in the series is set for release in October.
Enjoy!

Lol, pre-review enticement. Awesome. I hope the rest of the story lives up the intrigue thus far. Any questions, comments, requests, by you or any commentors, please feel free. Happy to discuss, whether it rocked your socks off or didn't quite hit the mark.
Thanks, Jim! I thought it was great and can't wait to see what comes next in the series. Dark and gritty!
