An ordinary man can... surround himself with two thousand books... and thenceforward have at least one place in the world in which it is possible to be happy. ~Augustine Birrell
I didn't know there was to be a film version of The Red Tent either! Could be interesting... I've seen Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell on a couple of people's lists of re-reads, which is great considering how big a book it is. I'm trying to find time for it before the BBC adaptation is screened but I think the clock is ticking! Love the format you used here. I'm afraid it's probably technically beyond my range, however.
There's a mini series or movie (can't remember which) being made of Jonathan Strange, so perhaps that will be the impetus behind your re-reading of it.
Of the books you listed, I'd pick Rebecca. I had no idea when I first read (two decades ago? longer?) that it was a retelling of Jane Eyre.
You can totally do it, Emily! You just need a Riffle account - I create the list there and use the embed code to put it in the blog. Super easy! Doing Dewey showed me how (http://doingdeweydecimal.com/2014/09/17/bloggiesta-mini-challenge-how-to-use-riffle-as-a-blogger/)

This is a great list! I have been wanting to reread Anansi Boys as well. Rebecca is another that always stands up to a reread I think,
Wow, what a great list. There are many on your list that I want and need to read.
LOVED The Red Tent. I didn't know they were making a movie of it.
