I read it in German a couple years ago and still think about it every once in a while :) The Iron King didn't blow me away but the sequels were a lot better!
My friend's been urging me to read Discovery of Witches and I'm certainly going to try, but I must admit I'm a bit scared now that you said it's overdramatic because I'm not a drama girl...
Thanks for stopping by my post yesterday!Carmen B.https://www.blogger.com/profile/04477953957925317205noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7864122091184089707.post-24263538980283343242013-04-23T18:01:57.891-06:002013-04-23T18:01:57.891-06:00All I've read on your list is AGoT and The Iro...All I've read on your list is AGoT and The Iron King, I love both! Did anything ever happen besides the main character continually going to the library to avoid checking out that magic book? I think I got about 100 pages in, and the author kept repeating the same scene... so I gave up.

I read Practical Magic years ago. I remember liking it, but also being struck by how different it was from the movie. I think both the book and the movie have their strong points.La Coccinellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03118313017081994087noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7864122091184089707.post-71368889157299091692013-04-23T12:30:39.215-06:002013-04-23T12:30:39.215-06:00I started Deborah Harkness' novel and then it ...I started Deborah Harkness' novel and then it fell by the wayside - reading it felt like work and after considering the page count I just couldn't do it. I LOVE the movie Practical Magic too, and every so often I'll think to myself "I must get the book" - but maybe not, huh? Thanks for the tips!Book Blatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14437469743002943036noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7864122091184089707.post-41393827254453575352013-04-23T08:22:51.089-06:002013-04-23T08:22:51.089-06:00I listened to DISCOVERY OF WITCHES. I liked ABANDON...freaked me right the heck out.
I have BLACK AND WHITE on Mt Git'r'Read and now need to find it and read it. I love both authors and intrigued by the collaboration. I have THE IRON KING on the WWBL. I loved the entire Zodiac series, especially the first and last one. Such a fab premise. GAME OF THRONES...listened to as my sister sent it to me. I liked it, but don't think as much as everyone else.
A cool Top Ten listing!!IYamVixen2https://www.blogger.com/profile/00345008951875281634noreply@blogger.com
